Eric graduated with an honours degree in Computing Science from Imperial college in 1987.

Eric had a long career in digital technologies which started after graduating in Computing Science from Imperial College in 1987.   

After working at Logica and then Philips, in 1993 Eric co-founded SilverDisc Limited a digital marketing agency now based in the Midlands.

Eric left SilverDisc in 2012 to focus on clients in the South of England and pursue an artistic career which took him into teaching art for a few years. 

In 2017 Eric started taking on new clients in digital marketing and is now looking to grow a local marketing consultancy business in and around Surrey, West Sussex and London.

Eric has worked for business large and small over his 30 year career in technology.  In the 1990s Eric worked with Philips, Barclays Bank, Harper Collins, Sky, Comet. In the naughties Eric worked with Credit Suisse, a major car insurer, car dealers and others across the South East.

What makes a great web site?

"A great web site should deliver the objectives it was set up to achieve.  

From a business owner's point of view it's a question of effectiveness. Is the money spent on developing and maintaining the web site and promoting it online justified and how is "success" measured?  Objectives vary from clients who want a web site to promote their business and generate sales leads at a specific "cost per lead" to others that just want a "presence" that shows credibility in their industry sector.

From a site visitor's point of view it's about how well the web site "completes the customer's mission" and if the experience of navigating the web site is intuitive and pleasurable.  It's also about how well the web site conveys the brand values of the company being promoted through the visual imagery and text ("voice" ) of the web site.​"
